NBPNP

The Nepisiguit River, New Brunswick, Canada

I have finally sent my application to New Brunswick (NB) last 2 July 2015 at 9:02 AM Philippine time, and 1 July 2015 at 10:02 PM NB time. I was very happy that time because I did not receive any auto-reply from NB. According to some forumers in Canada Visa, when an applicant received an auto-reply, this will mean that the monthly intake of NB is already full.

Since my EE registration on the 16th of June 2015 and after reading some websites on NB, I was already earnestly waiting for July 1st so I can send my application to NB PNP but because of an emergency family situation I failed to do so. Note that NB PNP is only taking applications every 1-15 of each month but last month's intake were already capped in less than an hour that NB PNP opened. Thus, I am hesitant to send my application thinking I will just receive the auto-reply from NB. Nevertheless, I still emailed my application after reading and seeing the month June 2015 in their website.

"The first step in applying to the NBPNP EELMS is to complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form and email it to entree.express.entry @ gnb.ca. The NBPNP will receive EOI forms from the 1st to the 15th of each month. The NBPNP staff will score and rank the forms and invite the most suitable candidates to apply to the EELMS from the first of the following submission month. The NBPNP Express Entry is no longer accepting Expression of Interest (EOI) forms for the month of June 2015. Please visit our website for regular updates."

After an hour of waiting for the auto-reply, no message came from NB so I concluded that my application went through. Happy me for my first PNP application.

Then came the sad part when NB PNP updated their website on 2 July 2015 (3 July in the Philippines) and provided additional criteria to qualify to their program. A very sad additional requirement for applicants who are outside Canada, who does not have any connections in NB, did not study, or work or even have a job offer in NB, and does not know how to speak French to be a First Priority candidate. It does have a Second and Third Priority Stream but sad to say I am not also qualified. I informed my husband about it and we were both devastated with the news because we do not have other recourse but to  again crossed out NB PNP from our lists.

Who wants good news??? I do because with our low CRS score, we really need PNP to fullfil our Canada dream for our little R. I am very thankful to my co-forumer and fellow Filipina in Canada Visa forum, genuinelyjenny, who messaged me just this morning to try and register with NB PNPs Information Session here in the Philippines through Living In NB. There is still hope for my husband and I afterall. Thank you Lord.

Thus, I registered this morning and is scheduled for NB PNP Information Session on 17 July 2015, 1:30 PM at AIM, Conference Manila, Benavidez corner Trasierra Streets, Legaspi Village, Makati City, Philippines. I do not actually know if it is free or with a fee because NBs reply did not indicate if it is free or not. What I know is it is a first come first serve basis. When I finish this session, it will only mean that I can qualify to the NB PNP through their Second Priority Stream. Oh, I'm loving it, LOL.

If you were to ask my friend Google, you will find NB a good place to live in especially for couples like us who are trying to have a family. My husband and I doesn't really care where we will land in Canada for as long as we will have a good job, nice environment, safe community, less stress, more time together and conducive for TTC couples like us. After all, our main goal in achieving our Canada dream is for our little R.

Thank you for sharing this post. I am also hoping to apply for NBPNP with my husband and 2 kids. Like you, I found out that I have a chance to qualify by attending their session in Manila. However, I will be coming from S. Korea just to attend the Information session. Now I am thinking, is it worth the effort to go home for it? I have the IELTS and WES certification. I hope for your reply soon...

Hi Jennifer. I honestly don't know if it is worth it, what I am sure is that we will qualify in NB PNP through the Second Priority Stream.

Please understand that my husband and I are aiming for a PNP because if you have read our other posts in this blog, you will see that we have a low CRS score at 313. Thus, the option of PNP nomination. What is your CRS score in the EE? If it is 450 and above then I suggest that you wait for the 12th draw or other draws from CIC. The last draw is around 469.

Did you also consider other PNPs offered by other provinces. I suggests reading requirements to it. Check my post in the next page to have some idea of the PNPs. Then you and your husband can take it from there. Good luck.

Hi! I just like to ask if the express entry key # is the same with the express entry profile number being issued by my cic? If not, how and where do I get it? Thanks a lot and god bless!

JustPJ said...

Hi CADream123, are you referring to the NBPNP EOI where it will ask for EE Profile # and Job Validation Code? If yes, then key in your MyCIC EE Profile #.

All the best on your application.

CADream123 said...

Yes, I'm exactly referring to that. I too have a low CRS score of 314 which is why my wife and I are hoping to get into NB PNP. We knew about it through the Information Session held in Makati last July and started working on our application process afterward.

Just to be clear, my EE Profile # is E000458245. Is it this one? Because the EOI form has a "-" on it.

Thanks for replying. You have been a big help.

God bless!

CADream123 said...

Yes! Only in the EOI, it asks for express entry key # and the space provided has a "-". My EE Profile number is E000458245, do I put it after the "-"? Because if I put it before the "-" some of the numbers disappear.

Thanks again and God bless!

Hi CADream123, I have looked unto the EOI form, it is a new one. Maybe you can separate your EE # like E000-458245 or until it accepts the #. Anyway, for as long as your EE # is correct, NB staffs can check it through CIC. Don't worry, they are very accomodating once they issue an ITA to you, until the very last detail they will give you a chance to correct your papers so as to prepare you on the CIC stage.

Are you a Filipino, if yes, you can join our whatsapp group for easier communication. Just let me know.

All the best to you and your wife's application.

Hi PJ, very informative blog. was just wondering if we are allowed to send an EOI email before we even attend an information session? It seems like from your experience, you sent them an EOI first? TIA :)

JustPJ said...

Hi Mariane. You have to attend first an information session before sending an EOI because this is NBs new rule. We did send an EOI before in June 2015 but not so lucky enough to be given an ITA. There were some though, few of them, who were given an ITA. Good luck. :)

hi, good morning. i signed up for the info session but i did not get any auto-reply informing me that it was successful. I am afraid, the email i entered was incorrect. Is it okay if i resign up to the info session? would it not void my registration? help!

JustPJ said...

Hi unknown. What country are you registering from? You only need NBs reply with an IP or that one that confirms your registration. If you did not receive any then better register again. All the best on your application.

Hi JustPJ! My husband and I got an ITA during our nb seminar here in manila last June 2016, within the 45 days required, we sent our full application properly (many thanks to your blog btw!) but its been 3 days since fedex confirmed that our package was received at the NB office. is it normal not to get at least a confirmation that our package was received by NB already? The waiting game is killing us!

Hi JustPJ/Maika, it was mentioned during the info session that IELTS score should be at least CLB 6. But in the NB guide, it says there CLB 7. I thought attending the info session have an advantage. Is that correct?

JustPJ said...

Hi Maika. I know that due to an overwhelming number of applications this year, getting an AOR is late. So, yes, waiting really kills but you will get them. Keep on praying. Good luck.

Hi CBC. Maybe you meant IELTS score of 6 which is equal to CIC CLB 7 and equivalent to NBPNP 4 in the EOI. And yes, attending an information session is an advantage because you will fall under priority 2 of NBPNP EELMS program. Good luck.

hi, we have already emailed our EOI last August 22, but until now there is no reply yet from them. do you have any suggestion? or should we send it back

vani said...

hi can anyone please tell me what is the second priority stream? please reply soon with the needed information

JustPJ said...

Hi Unknown. You can always send another EOI after a month of not hearing anything from NB. Good luck.

Hi Vani. Please continue reading on my blog posts for your queries. Thank you.

Hi PJ,
Hope you doing good.

have you got any idea how long will it take to get the assessment completed as PNP was issued on august 10.
any hint !

Abdul

JustPJ said...

Hi Abdul. The assessment per applicants are on case to case basis depending on your application and volume of applications. Just keep on patiently waiting, your nomination will come. All the best on your application.

Hi PJ, I am fascinated on your experience. My wife & I attended the NB PNP Information Session at AIM Makati. After the session & interview, they've advised to wait for their email after 2 weeks. It has been 2 weeks and we have not receive an email. Will they inform us if we are qualified or not? Thanks for your help and God bless!

JustPJ said...

Hi Dennis. In our case, they do not inform us if our EOI is okay with them so we need to submit EOIs every month but once we are subject for invitation, that's the time NB will send out emails. In your case, I honestly do not know especially that yours is employer driven. Good luck.

Unknown said...

Hi PJ, just to update you that our prayers has been answered. My wife receives an email from her employer they will be sending us the forms to fill up. I would like to join my wife to New Brunswick and we don't want to be separated anymore as she has been an OFW several times.

Can you help us what will be our next step? I have read in the Canada Visa forums one mentioned the lucky candidate needs to apply for EOI. Her friends advises that she only need to apply the NBPNP Skilled Worker with employer support and no need of the EOI.

Note that she will be working on a manufacturing company as a factory worker and we have not received the forms from the employer yet. We are confuse on what forms to apply and does EOI is necessary? Thanks for your help and Happy Holidays!

JustPJ said...

Hi Dennis. Congrats on your wife finding an employer here in NB. I would suggest that you go on welcome to NB website and get the guidelines on employer driven invitation. Use that guideline on preparing your documents because you will never go wrong on it. I honestly do not know how employer driven session works because my program is very different from yours. All the best on your application.

Hi JustPJ,

I'm really inspired from your story, same as you I also have a canada dream but standing with low CRS 362 only, I'll appreciate if you can share your expression of interest letter with me, what details should we fill up and what is the best approach for PNP.
I keep courage to pursue my canada dream.
God is great!

Thanks

Regards,
Dhrumil

JustPJ said...

Hi Dhrumil, we only have 319 CRS score during our time but through reading and joining forum we made it here in NB. Reading will really bring you farther than expected. I read all the PNP programs offered by all Canadian provinces until I stumbled unto NBPNP. There is nothing really to share about my EOI because it is basically a points system where they scored me on my IELTS, ECA and work experience. I only presented mine excluding my husband. Good luck.

Hi PJ,

First of all, thank you for creating a blog about your dream and success in your path to Canada. It is very informative, helpful and gives us hope in so many ways. To make me feel positive after reading new updates from CIC regarding draws, I just go to my browser, search for your blog and read again all your posts. Your blog is my happy pill for the past one year!

After wandering around on what to do with our Canadian dream, and after exhausting so much time and effort, I am very inspired with your story. Like you and your husband, I want to make my dream a reality. No matter what it takes, I am positive that my husband and me will be together in our dream destination with our future baby. Thank you very much for sharing your journey with us!

I am one of those many overseas workers here in Singapore. Sadly, my husband is in Philippines and we are physically separated and been into long distance relationship for many years now (5 years dating, 3 years married). I can’t afford to go back to our country to be with my husband because I am still looking after my family and we are still both saving for our Canadian Dream.

Our EE profile was already up since last year and we are still lacking of points to be considered. Luckily, my husband was able to secure a slot in the Information Session in Makati and will be attending without me. Will that be okay since I am the main applicant and husband is my dependent? Can I also join your group chat in WhatsApp? Hoping for you advise. Thank you!

JustPJ said...

Hi iamsimplybeingmie. Thank you very much for the kind words. I honestly do not know if its allowed that your husband will represent you in the session but he can ask them just to make sure. Also, the session in the Philippines now is different from us. It is employer driven so I advise you ask them for the betterment of your application. All the best on your application.

Hi JustPJ,

Can you tell if attending an information session is still mandatory for NBPNP EELMS applicant?

thanks and more power to your blog!

JustPJ said...

Hi jhazcher. Unfortunately, yes, you still need to attend information session for NBPNP EELMS. Good luck.

Hi JustPJ,

A pleasant day!

I stumbled upon this blog just now. I have sent an EOI to NBPNP earlier and got an auto-reply. I believed I was too late to send one for this month as they've reached the limit already. I have read from another forum as well that sending multiple EOI's in a month would result to a void.

Thank you so much for making this blog as it would let us, hopefuls, be knowledgeable as for what steps to take in order to successfully get an ITA one day. Would hope to consult you for future inquiries.

My NOC is one of the occupations listed on their site. Crossing fingers that it would still be available next month.

Just to be sure, it would be fine to send another EOI next month, right?

Would it be fine to send it around March 1, 5PM PHT or around that time so that NB would receive it at their end at March 1, 5AM or around that time?

More power to you and your informative blog!

Hello JustPJ,

Another important question that I am quite unsure of.

What is supposedly the correct subject line for NBPNP Second Priority Applicants - Attended a New Brunswick PNP Information Session in the Past 2 Years?

I have read several pages and forums; they have various formats for the subject line. And I believed that with incorrect subject line, an EOI will be voided or will not be accepted.

Should the email have content?
1. Like telling in detail where you have attended the information session (country/city/venue/date).
2. Explaining why you want to settle in NB.

I have attended a NBPNP Information Session last August 22, 2017 at Radisson Blu here in Cebu City, Philippines.

Hoping for your knowledge on this. God bless!
