NB Information Session 2016

I cannot help but blog this one since all my friends and acquaintances are asking.

The Government of New Brunswick is coming back to our country for another information sessions scheduled on (1) January 23 to 25 in Manila, and (2) January 29-30 in Cebu. They will be conducting 10 information sessions as shown below:

For our readers on this blog, please be informed that the information session is totally FREE OF CHARGE. Just go to livinginnb.ca website and register from there. It is just sad that some consultants and agents here in the Philippines are taking advantage and charging P500.00 to P1,500.00 in order for their clients to attend the information session.

Just like you, me. we and us, almost all of us dreamt of going to the maple leaf country for different reasons only us will know. Money is the obvious main hindrance why we cannot push through with our Canada dream especially us here in the third world country. Who does not want a greener pasture? It is just disappointing that the Government of NB comes here in our country at their own expense and do the information session completely FREE OF CHARGE and our own countrymen charged a fee at the expense of their clients. Shameful act it is. I know it is part of their business and for them business is business...B-U-T. :( :( :(

Attending an information session with NB under their NBPNP EELMS program entitles an applicant to second priority. See my detailed explanation here for NB Information Session.

Anyway, I always say this. We do not need a consultant or an agent to make our Canada dream come through. All we need is to be resourceful. Take time to read, read and read. Be informed and not misinformed. Join forums, ask questions there, share your experiences and most of all, win new friends, not only here in the Philippines but with other nationalities. Also, do not forget to be friends with Mr. Google. He knows almost everything. The most important of all is do not forget to ask God for guidance. If you can do this then I bet you, you will also receive the golden ITA not only to the province you are applying just like us (NBPNP) but from the Federal Government of Canada, CIC.

My husband and I are not the only attendees in the information session of July 2015 which were held also in Manila and Cebu. Lots of Filipinos came including other countries in Asia. Yes, other nationalities came here just to attend the information session given by the Government of NB. Why? Because once you attended one, you will have a chance to apply and be given an ITA by NBPNP. Our journey to the maple leaf country from the information session to NBPNP ITA to nomination to CIC ITA etc. is one testament that an applicant can DIY (do-it-yourself) their Canada dream. If we did it so can you.

I just have to say this also. Thank you Government of NB for giving Filipinos a chance to live and work in your beautiful province. My husband and I can only speak to ourselves but we can assure you of our loyalty and good service once we get through with CIC stage.

JustPJ said...

Hi Louie. Magregister ka na and attend session sa NBPNP. Valid for 2 years yun. Saka 7 na ba ngayon ang per module, I think it's still 6. Kelangan 6 and above ang R/L/W/S. Below that is kelangan mo ulitin. Ano link ng information mo re IELTS of 7.

meron pong session dito, nagregister na po ako at susubukan kong magtanung tanung tungkol sa case ko dun. salamat po and godbless..

thanks for this! i'll be flying to Philippines jus to attend the seminar.. question - for the funds, do they ask for it during the seminar/orientation?

JustPJ said...

Hi Louie, baka you are referring to CLB level. If your band score for each module is 6, equivalent CLB niyan is 7. That is the required CLB in EE kaya dapat your score in each module should not go down by 6. See this and click on IELTS: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp.

Hi sarkangel. No, they do not ask for your funds during the session. It's more on introducing the EE system (from CIC people) and the province of NB (by NBPNP staffs).

thanks JustPJ - aside from everything you have posted here, what else shall I prepare? I have my IELTS and WES. I'll be flying from SG over the weekend just for this and your blog post is so timely! its like God sent me a message na ito na! hehe

also - do other provincial programs offer this kind of sessions and similar to NB na requirement siya for EOI?

maraming salamt po sa pagsagot sa tanung ko..

God Bless

Louie

Hi sarkangel, Pinoy ka din pala, malapit na maubod deposit ko ng english hehehe. Okay na yan IELTS and WES. :) And no, NB lang talaga nag-ooffer ng information session. Good luck.

Ang alam ko lang kasi yun livinginnb.ca ang legit na from Government of NB. Good luck too Louie.

ok thanks JustPJ - i tried fillig up their EOI form from their website. Question for the Work experience, I have more than 10yrs total work experience but if I were to be specific to the NOC I am applying for, its 4-5yrs. So indicate ko ba yung work experience ko as more 6+yrs (15pts) or 4-5yrs (13pts).. sakto ako sa 67 if 13pts.. but i prefer to have 15pts hehe..

Kasi sa CIC yun ang ginawa ko, I added every single job I've done since 2003 and they are not just tied to one NOC.

JustPJ said...

Yes you can sarkangel. I specifically called and asked NB for that. Read my post here: http://ourcanadadreamdiary.blogspot.com/2015/08/positive-vibes-no-more-bitterness.html :)

Hello. Are IELTS and ECA results prerequisite in attending the information session? How about in the interview if any, was it asked? Thank you.

JustPJ said...

Hi toffer. You can attend the information session even without IELTS and ECA. There is no interview, only a Q and Q portion for all attendees.

Unknown said...

Hi my friend said that I cannot attend the session if I have no ielts score? I cannot register because they will ask your ielts? Is it true?

JustPJ said...

Hi Millet, not true. You can attend session even if you do not have IELTS just be sure that when you email your EOI you already have your IELTS. NB Information Session is good for 2 years which means you can apply at a later date with IELTS and ECA on hand. All the best on your application.

Unknown said...

Thanks a lot for this informative blog.Have you got any info about the interviews? Is it going to be like a job interview? Or general and personal questions only?

JustPJ said...

Hi fahime, during our time, we do not have any interview. Just an information session with a little time for the question and answer portion. All the best on your application.

Hi JustPJ,
I have submitted the full application to NB. Now its the waiting game for AOR and subsequent nomination by the grace of god. In the mean time wanted to prepare CIC related documentation hoping all turns positive. Kindly refer me to the link where i can find all the document for CIC stage please.

Secondly, what are the other supporting documents that I need to prepare apart from bank statement and certificate.
Thanks,
SV

JustPJ said...

Hi SV. Please refer to Year 2015, December month. You can read there our CIC application. Good luck.

hi just pj
i am nurse and plan to attend the webinar session on coming weeks. Is it any benefit to attend this session .And also my profession they would accept or not.i hope you will reply
thanks in advance and regards

JustPJ said...

Hi Steeja. I don't think webinar information session for NBPNP qualifies you to their program. Better ask them first if it is okay because all information session that I encountered are done physically. To be honest also, I have not seen nurse NOC in NBPNP EELMS program. I know PEI PNP do accepts nurse. I just don't know now. I suggest you Google both programs so you will have a better understanding for each programs. Good luck.

Hi JustPJ, your blog is very informative and thank you for helping us. Question lang po. Kelangan po ba talaga mag attend ng information session for NB para makareceive ng ITA, is there any other way like online? Do you have any idea when will be the next session here in philippines particular in cebu.. Thank you po and god bless.

vani said...

can you please guide me about information bsession?

vani said...

and where and how frequently it gets organised? your guidance will be highly appreciated...:)

JustPJ said...

Hi Girlie. Yes, you need to attend an information session physically. Just bookmark livininnb.ca website for possible schedules back there in the Philippines. Good luck.

HI Vani. Please continue reading on my blog posts. The details of your queries are already here.

Hi JustPJ
About sa information session, kelan mo nalaman na pwede kayo umattend and yung venue?
kapag hindi nag email back, hindi kami kasama?
I just commented sa isang blog mo, eto pa lang yung blog mo about sa tanong ko, hehe.

thank you..

MM

JustPJ said...

Hi mm. They replied to us for the venue and time a day or two after acknowledging our registration. I don't know now the process on the registration but what I know is there is a delay on the issuance of venue and time. You can always email and ask them on your registration. Good luck.

gorapid said...

hi justpj.. im pj too. ask ko lang kung gaano kagal yung inantay mo makatanggap ng email after mo mag attend ng session dito sa pinas.. nag attent kasi kami ng kaibigan ko noong november 19 sa iams manila. so nainterview din kami sa employer. kaso until now wala pa din email samin kung anu ng nangyari..

JustPJ said...

Hello gorapid. I waited for a month, when no email yet from NB, I resend another EOI but my NOC is not part of the demand NOC so I changed NOC. After changing NOC, 2 months to be exact, I received the golden ITA from NB. I honestly do not know with regards to your case because the session is employer oriented but you can always send NB a follow up email. All the best.

Hi JustPJ,

Ask ko lang possible kaya ako magapply for NBPNP kahit may relative ako sa Ontario yung uncle ko? Nameet ko kasi yung points and other requirements for NBPNP. Thanks

JustPJ said...

Hi Tereza, just watch out for schedules at livinginnb.ca. Good luck.

Hi Eshca, I honestly do not know coz I do not have immediate relatives here in Canada but some applicants qualified even if they have relatives. I think you just have to prove your intentions of staying any part of New Brunswick. Good luck.
